Pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 651, published in the Official Gazette on 16 January 2019, additional customs duties ranging between 5-8% were imposed on imports of cotton yarn, yarns of man made filaments, yarns of synthetic staple fibers, yarns of artificial staple fibers.
According to the Decree, EU and EFTA countries, Israel, Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia, Egypt, Georgia, Albany, Chile, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Mauritius, Moldova, Faroe Islands, South Korea, Malaysia and Singapore were exempted from the duty increase.
