Ministry of Economy decided to extend safeguard measure on imports of man-made polyester staple fibers imported from Iran. Safeguard measure in question shall be applied in the form of extra duties amounting to 20% in the first year (Sept. 2017-Sept. 2018), 19,5% in the second year and 19% in the third year. Normally, safeguard measures are to be applied to all countries. However, since Iran is not a member of the WTO, country specific safeguard measures are imposed against Iran.
